I ordered some ebay headers for my 2000 subaru legacy Gt last week from (speedyracer) on ebay.

Just got them this morning the box they came in was best up :-? But headers were not damaged, Ive heard about using OEM gaskets instead if the ones included, but OEM fit smaller, would that work?? thankyou.

(First two are speedyracer gaskets and 3rd nd 4th are OEM)

Just go with the oem since it has a nice orings on it, which would seal better. The flange on the aftermarket is bigger than the stock so thats why the oem looks smaller but will still seal the same way or better. Fwiw i've used both gaskets and didnt have a problem

Don't use the speedyracer gaskets, go to napa and get some brand new oem gaskets. Don't finish torquing everything down until you're sure it all fits together nicely

The bottom two pics are aftermarket ones but seem way better quality than the speedyracer ones. Should I go ahead and use them?

You can do whatever you like; just be aware that you might develop an exhaust leak from a failed gasket.
That being said, they do certainly look more robust.

Either will work. Personally I've used both because I've had to take them off to replace them because i thought the gasket was leaking. turned out to be the header leaking it self but it was worth a shot.

Unless you've ported your heads, just go with OEM as they won't restrict flow any more than the heads already are. OEM/Napa equivalent will last a lot longer and probably work a bit better.

PS - please try to resize your pictures in the future. I'm running 1920x1080 and I have to sidescroll, yikes!
