This is my first post on this forum, so hello from Australia to all.

I have recently purchased my first Legacy/Liberty and I have to be honest, I have fallen in love. Being a car enthusiast I just couldn't help myself and have begun modifying and making a future list of things I'd like to achieve.

So I got pretty lucky with this one, it is a 1998 BD Liberty RX manual EJ25 and I picked it up about under two months ago, she is as straight as an arrow for her age with only 140000km on the clock. Only two previous owners, one used it as a weekend cruiser and the other stopped driving it as he had a work vehicle. Came with some rear left door car park damage and the paint needs a little work here and there, however she's as good as they come. The interior is mint!

Since owning, I have done the following;

New set of Koya Drift Tek 18 x 7.5s wrapped in Achilles 225/40 (rear guards lipped)
JDM headlights
RFRB grill
Full service for reliablility (all oils/fluids, Eagle leads, premium plugs, timing belt, battery, water pump, radiator clean etc)
Booked in for de-badging, front/rear bar respray, fix door, sand/buff out swirls & scratches, cut & polish, 28% tinting, paint callipers/exposed wheel hubs and headlights polish
Clear side indicators (getting fitted during bodywork)

On order I have;
GC8 WRX front/rear seats in black/grey
WRX alloy pedals

This is pretty much what I can afford to do in the short term, at least she will be a great looking cruiser and I keep her garaged every night anyway.

These are the remaining mods I have planned which will keep me busy I am sure (in order of priority);

Coil-overs (possibly BC BRs) running 15-20mm lower
Basic turbo setup on current engine from most likely 02 WRX parts running 5psi (affordable and reliable)
The GT hood with scoop
Kartboy STSK
As far as brakes, probably just get them bled, better pads and fluid
Possibly new 6x9 speakers as the current ones are a little sun fried

Hinyo, the engine parts already came painted however they have peeled in some places. So Im going to use a heat resistant paint and do some touch ups. Im not sure that painting of plastic engine parts would ever last too long if you know what I mean. But it looks cool and you can always re-do it when it gets old!

Gutted... Just found out that the guy supposed to be doing spray/panel work to my car just recently had a stroke and is selling his business. Very sad news, top bloke.

He was offering to do all the work at a great price, a real one off opportunity. Just got a quote from a couple of other places.. 4 x the price ($2500+ to be exact)... Looks like I'll be saving my pennies for a while. Maybe I'll just get my coil-overs done first for the fun factor..
