Alright...
My engine light blinks.
1st off when i bought the car the engine light was never on becuase the blub was burnt out. I replaced that.
Now I bought a code reader and the codes are for-
Vehcial speed sensor - which i just installed and is still reading the code... brand new one.
3 o2 codes
and an air/fuel malfunction.
What the hell do i do??
These are things already done.
- Replaced the ECU - didnt work
- Replaced the speed sensor - didn't work
Disconnected the battary...
Didn't work
You tell me ...

Let me get this straight:
It TOLD you what was wrong, and you only replaced PART of the problems, and expected all of them to go away?
Replace your 02 sensor.

No i didn't expect everything to get fixed i expected that code to disappear but thats besides the point. I took it to a Subaru Tech that left Somerset Subaru i left it with him for a day and he did it all for $100.00.
He tightened my parking break
- fixed my criuse control
- cleared the codes
- fixed my clutch pedal - but i have to loosen the clutch plate cuz whoever installed it did it too tight
- reinstalled my air box beucase i was told it runs better with it (the one thats connected to the fender
If anyone in the NJ/NY/CT area needs work on there subaru and doesn't mind leaving it there let me know he's great!

it would help if we had the numbers to the codes your car is throwing.
and...
*O2 sensors only read information...if one goes bad, you dont just replace it, you find out why...(never let a garage tell you its just an O2 sensor, 9 times out of ten something else caused the sensor to go)
For Example: everyone knows the original ej25 headgaskets went like crazy... radiator fluid seeping into the cylinder (and vice versa) from this will cause an O2 sensor to fry in a heartbeat when that radiator fluid gets burned in the combustion process... any mickey mouse mechanic would tell you your O2 sensors were bad and would charge you to replace it way before they checked out the car enough to find out it was a bad HG. That replaced O2 sensor would just fry again in a couple of days...and youre back to square one.
in the end, its really all up to you... you can just start replacing all sorts of things blindly, hoping that somehow that fixes your problem...if only temporarily...OR you can spend some time and determine without any doubt whats wrong with your machine...and then fix it properly.
