The white Legacy wagon is officially sold, dropped off at its new owners' place of work tonight.
But don't think I didn't screw one more thing up! :D
I had an issue bleeding the brakes last night, so I carefully drove it to work today with a mushy pedal, and the mechanic told me the left rear bleeder screw was clogged. He found one in his parts stash and put it on for me, and thanks to Kelly, our fantastic Subaru service advisor, labor only cost me $20 :D
Our alignment rack was busy today, so I also had her arrange for an alignment at the neighborhood Action Gator - Goodyear shop... who also rotated my tires that I just rotated
So I rush home to re-rotate them (they already needed it pretty bad before I did all this, and this is a 4EAT), and I broke a wheelstud on the right rear wheel.
Oh well, I don't give a rat's ass, it's not my car anymore.
I am a little sad to see it go, overall, it was a very good car to us, but at the same time, it's no big whoop. I never grew that attached to it anyway.
So, back down to 3 Subarus in the driveway, and I can say, 3 is enough right now

BOOOO BAD BUSINESS ETHIC!!!!
you should at least give the buyer the 15 bucks for a wheel stud.
however you did re-rotate the tires...so i guess that was good.

maybe you missed the part where he gave it an alignment and flushed the brakes?

more or less i'm just being hard on him.
yes, that was very nice of him, but it's stuff that should be done anyway

I should have gone into detail... :)
Not just the alignment and brake job, but I just finished putting front wheel bearings and 4 struts in this car, along with new front ABS sensors that I screwed up.
I think it's okay to give it to her with a ruined wheelstud :?
All in all, if anyone got the raw end of the deal, it was me. I'm getting enough money out of it to pay for all the parts I just ordered for the 79... :(

Folks, a wheel stud is like $2, toss in another dollar or so for the nut. They only take a few minutes to change, I don't see where it's an issue.

the cost of materials is definitely not an issue.
however, i believe it is a matter of principle. just let me know that it's not there, so i can fix it instead of letting me find out on my own.

Boooo! You got rid of the (arguably) nicer looking Legacy. But you like Patti's bitchiness too much don't you?

Patti is like an ugly, older broad that bitches and complains all the time, but you can't leave her because the sex is so good
Seriously, with the WRX springs and good tires, I'm astonished at how many 'sports' cars I've totally Pwn4g3d with her in the twisties.
Plus, she's (for all practical purposes) my first car, so I'm attached.
Furthermore, the wagon wasn't technically my car, it was my grandfather's, so when he wanted to sell it, I didn't have much say in the matter :-?

i hear ya. it's gonna be painful when it comes time to get rid of my GT. with the suspension and brake work we've done to it, it actually handles better than the WRX (which only has a set of springs).
