So I traveled down to Baltimore for the auto show today to see the new WRX, and unfortunately, it was untouchable. We asked the guy there if we could sit in it at the NY auto show in early April, and he had no clue since Subaru doesn't announce anything ahead of time except for their features. So I probed him a bit about what he knows about the features lined up for NY and found out that the new 2015 Outback will be featured along side a new 7-passenger vehicle that he couldn't really expand on. He said it is replacing the Tribeca (finally). My first thought was it could either be the new Levorg or possibly the Exiga. Any thoughts? Has anyone else heard anything about it?
We'll probably know for sure next month but now I'm excited.

Make sure you account for the SOA design factor. They'll find some way to screw it up.
Although if they did bring it over looking exactly as it does in Japan, and did a limited run of 200 STIs, I'd be perfectly happy :D

Ok those exigas are way to ugly for them to bring to the states!

Seriously have you seen the Tribeca? The exiga would be a welcome addition to the SOA line-up.

The only think bad about that exiga is the chrome.
And i like the tribecas except the b9s. And is better then the new forester

Would be nice to add it to the lineup.

The Exiga would be awesome to see stateside. If that does happen to be the case, I'll have to start planting the idea in my parents' heads of trading in their '11 Outback for that.

In fairness, the chrome was the concept model - the actual production one was toned down a bit.
I think they look quite nice, personally. Better than the Ford Flex or Mazda 5.
Okay, the Exiga would be cool, but the Levorg? That's got to be one of the classiest things I have ever seen, in the history of evar. I want it soooo bad.

The only problem is I don't think the Levorg is 7-passenger, unfortunately.
Here are some links from Subaru's Japanese website for the Exiga. You might not be able to read it, but you can look at the pretty pictures.
Design (http://www.subaru.jp/exiga/exiga/design/) | Interior (http://www.subaru.jp/exiga/exiga/interior/) | Performance (http://www.subaru.jp/exiga/exiga/driving/) | Safety (http://www.subaru.jp/exiga/exiga/safety/) | Trim Packages (http://www.subaru.jp/exiga/exiga/grade/)
If you poke around a bit with the links under where it says "EXIGA" (specifically the link to the far right), you'll be able to look through a gallery of the current Exiga.

Cosidering the Exiga has been out for awile (over seas at least) It would most likely be due for a redesign, especially before it makes it's way over here.....or something based on it.
It would be cool to see something Ford Flexish here from Subaru. It doesn't look that by on the outside but the interior is huge! I'm sure it's all in the style, but those things are very deciving!

The Levorg has the same track and wheelbase as the WRX, and many sites are calling it the "WRX Wagon that never was". That being said, and given the smaller size of the Impreza platform.. a third row would SUCK BADLY in a car that small.
Oh, I don't care if it were a two-seater. I'm in love with the lines. That being said, it's not the one they're talking about, I'm sure.

The truth is Subaru needs another 7 pass vehicle. People tell me they want a new car but they need need the extra seating..... How am I supposed to sell them a Subaru that way?
