2001 Subaru Legacy what to do!?

This is my 2001 Subaru Legacy L Sedan. So far the only mod is the amp and sub I put in. Just ordered a MOMO steering wheel, STi shift nob, shift boot, and new subaru logo floor mats. Was looking for some helpful suggestions on what to do to the car. This is my first Subaru ever and I love it so far.

I would go with sway bars and wheels and tires. I like cars that handle well.

I have a set of Subaru wheels and tires picked out. They're Subaru Legacy BH5 OEM 17x7 Wheels with Zetro S4 Tires 5x100. Any specific sway bars you would recommend. Also anyone know any good fairly priced height adjustable coil overs?

I'd strongly advise you to keep your steelies for winter mode. There are those who say to get snow tires, but I've had no issues on good all seasons here in Connecticut. except once, but that was about three feet of snow. nothing short of a lift and mattracks would've gotten me out of that... And make sure you budget for car washes during the winter. If you don't you'll get rust real quick in New York.

Zetro tires? I have not heard of them.. Are they a Japanese brand? If so, they are not legal for use on US roads.. If you get into an accident with those tires on.. prepare to be bent over... twice.

Yeah the car has wheel arch rust which I will take care of as soon as it is warmer out. Also yes the Zetro tires are Japanese. I'll only use them for car meets and competition if I get my car the way I want it.

I agree with 98legwag. I would look at Rallitek. I have heard good things about their swaybars. Good quality for a good price. Stut bars are a good upgrade as well. Both sways and strut bars will help to tighten your handling up and reduce the body roll that our Subies have from the factory.

I don't know if you guys can see but the front bumper passenger side is missing some sort of cover. I bought it like this but was curious to know if anyone knew what it was called or where I could find.

That is the Tow Hook Cover. You could get one at the dealer, but a junkyard would be much cheaper. The 2000-2002 bumper is the same as yours, but the 2003-2004 bumper is different and the Tow Hook Covers are a different shape.

Its also missing the fog light cover. It goes where the factory fogs would be.

If you don't mind zip tie stitches and silver, I'll send you a tow hook cover and a driver's side fog light for cost of shipping. That way, you'll only have to find a pass. side fog, and wire 'em up.
I'd part with both fogs, but trust me, you don't want my passenger side one, it's shot.

Get good tires. Learn to drive it at an autocross or rallycross. Do suspension bushings bushings.

I'm selling a pair of stock fog lamps for this body style if you're interested. They're typically $150 from Subaru, I'm selling mine for $65 shipped. They plug right in, come with the switch for your dash and all you need is a $30 relay from any auto parts store.

Buy some UEL Headers or make some, and slap a fart cannon on there, or vibrant muffler(you'll love to drive the thing to hear your exhaust)
make a hybrid intake setup
replace BUSHINGS!with some poly ones (suspension,shifter)
Short throw shifter if you like
