desktop pandora app

here to share a pandora desktop app for window xp-vista-7, mac OS 10.4+, or linux. being a big fan of listening to pandora when on the computer, but leaving a browser open with a heavy java page is a pain and not really wanting to pay for the one desktop app. out comes google to find a free program and came across this one. its standalone, requires no install, (so could be portable) though is a little basic. lets you thumb, show current song (title, artist, album) album art, and upcoming song. also lets you repeat songs(current only). it does lack adding stations, shuffle and variety, song lyric, artist bio, similar, ect.

No. I dont listen to spotify because of the 10 hour a month limit for the free service it would last only two days for me.
plus im not one for listening to specific song/albums or artist all the time. i want to discover new music. i know spotify "radio" does sort of that but its no where near pandoras gnome project.

Ooh this is a really nifty app. I prefer Pandora over Spotify because I like discovering new music, and that it's free with unlimited listening hours.

I use Pandora the most when I'm studying or writing papers, so having this playing in the background without distracting ads or the timeout is pretty cool.

i was mostly joking.. i use spotify at home and pandora in my car and work, but i have never reached a listening limit on spotify...??

This is a pretty cool app. I like the basic-ness of it. I'm kind of tired of the intensely designed music apps. This gives me everything I need. Takes me back to the early days of internet radio :cool:

They have a 6 month trial period thats unlimited after that its 10hr/month. But pandora use to have a 40hr/week limit. But they took it away
