Small update.

Bought a complete D-type front end for the car.
Installed bilstein struts and eifel prova lowering springs.
Installed a set of used 17" wheels and new tires.
JDM tail lights installed.
Cusco and mine's strut bars installed.
Woodgrain outback steering wheel installed.

Soon to install:
BFM cluster.
Front and rear cross/slotted rotors and new brake pads.
The girlfriend wants pink calipers so I ordered a can of the grimmspeed cherry blossom red paint.

As soon as I get it over to Robin so he can paint it. The hard part is having the car down for the JDM parts install and my girl needing a car for work. Got to get the GL running good so she can take it.

Small update:
Installed the BFM Mr. Krenicki did for me. I still need to wire the dimmer in but here is a before and after. The girlfriend wanted pink LED's to match her stereo so I changed the halo bulbs out.

Got an axle back muffler installed. Its a Legalis Fujitsubo, nice tone although super quiet for a factory muffler. I need to have my exhaust guy weld a new flange cause the stock one was rusty.
Had to use the cut off wheel to remove the factory muffler.

Oh, and before you put that JDM trunk on, talk to Yamazaki about his. The latch is different. He had to crawl throgh the little pass-through in the back seat of the Blitzen to open the trunk when we were at his place during the last Maryland meet. I thought he was gonna get stuck...

LOL.... I'm not positive what brand it is, there is no name on it. I think it was Hans or Yamazaki told me it might be a Liberal, but Syms came up as well.

Also, I got mine from Japan off Ebay. Mine and Brads are the same wing though. This I don know.

Doing some maintenance today. Starting with plugs, fuel filter, and a pcv valve. Timing belt, drive belts, water pump and cam seals to be done once the light weight crank pulley arrives.

Injen "hot air intake" installed. For a 2.5rs, had to bend the bracket back 90° so I could bolt the intake to it.

Looks good overall...don't like the body line difference but oh well. Muffler now sticks out 5" past the bumper since its from a bh and the jdm bumper is shorter.

It's a wagon axle back, it needs shortening since the JDM bumper is so much shorter.

A lot less than the 18" MB weapons. I didn't get a chance to weigh but they are equivalent to my '04 STi bbs.

According to a thread on Nasioc for OEM wheel specs they are 17x7 et55 and weigh in at a whopping 15 lbs each. The advantage of forged wheels. They weigh a little less than the 04 STI wheels.

Not much done in the past few months.

Installed a tsudo UEL header and hibflow catalytic converter since the stock cat was no good. Got some power back, was real bad prior to installing.

fixed a few things, bought some stuff. timing components and water pump replaced, shit canned the injen intake. cusco front power brace installed, fogs hooked up.
sold the Syms spoiler and bought a Mine's carbon trunk lip. also ordered some jdm BP5 wheels (same as spec b) which should arrive soon... OEM 18".

in the last 3 months i have done the following.

JDM front 4 pot calipers. Mine's carbon trunk spoiler. Subaru earthing kit. zerosports racing grille. JDM BP/BL 18" wheels and new tires. Eifel Prova hood struts. headgasket replacement. JDM rear glass and wiper. eyelids. still needing paint, JDM mirrors with custom LED turn signals.

head gaskets at 115k. been done before. looks like the short block was replaced. machine shop said there was a low spot on the heads. took the car over to dead91silvias house and pulled the engine.
