My BK is a manual and the suspension has been upgraded and lowered with WRX Tein and GR2's everything is tight. When i come to a stop, literaly rolling..it has a creeking sound coming from the left front strut area. I got out of the car the other day and pushed down on the fender and hear the creeking sound when i do that too. Im wondering if it is a ball joint or a strut bushing before i take it over to my boy and stick it on the lift. It handles sweet and there are no odd feelings in the suspension or performance at all....Any thoughts? :smt017

Took it to my Mech. and he said that it is a bushing issue in the left front strut or somewhere else in that area. He did not have time to put it on the lift but he came out and listened to it when i was at a stop turning the steering wheel left to right with the weird creeking noises. So what polyurethane bushings should i pick up that need to be replaced that commonly wear out? It's got 239.000 so something needs replaced up front..lol Im going to replace them in pairs, probably Whiteline from E-bay?

Most likely the strut mount. Balls joints usually make a popping noise but I wouldnt rule it out either.

I know I'm a little late, just joined the forum a little while back, but it's most likely your strut mount. I installed KYB AGX's and installed them on my WRX w/out replacing the strut mounts, and within a few days it became obvious that the pass rear mount was toast because every time I got in and out of the car it creaked. Plus it made noise of the slightest shifts in load while driving. If you had just replaced anything on your suspension with poly bushings and didn't grease enough it actually makes a nasty popping/snapping noise. My 25MM sways didn't have enough grease on them and made all kinds of noises whenever I turned.
