I haven't done that in a while...not current occupation. I do miss it though. There are a great number of historic wrecks to dive here in FL. I watched the Jaws marathon not too long ago and it re-instilled my fear of sharks.
I hate those things....like spiders!

Ya it will fit, the front and the rear in a 1 Gen Legacy but there is only one problem the front seats sit up a bit higher, which is different at first, but you get used to it. the only problem with the rear seat is you will have a gap on the side below the edge of the bottom section. Not sure if this will help

I had 04 STi seats in my BD for about 5 minutes and couldn't stand it. They sat too high. And I was on the lowest setting.
Can't comment on the rear seats...didn't bother with them and had no intentions to.
Yeah, I was warned about the height issue, but decided to see for myself. Besides, the seats were a steal at the time and I ended up making my money back with a buyer.
Nice little experiment to say the least.

I got both of my front WRX seats for 50$ from a guy on NASIOC, he had put sparcos in his car so I got a heck of a deal on the seats. I'd have to say its one of the best upgrades I've done so far, I just need the rear seats now. The only problem I have is the seatbelts are really tight against the seats so it takes a little more effort to get your seatbelt on and off

Yeah, 600$ from tuningspec.com. I wired them 600$ and they told me that they only got like 570$ but I wired them the full 600$ it turned out that there was a middle bank that they never told me about that charged 30$ so I had to wire them another 60$ so they really cost me 660$

I got my 02 WRX seats for $100 this weekend. Wow, definitely one of the best mods I have done as far as making the car nicer to drive in. I hate my stock seats.
I'll source a rear WRX seat and do a writeup for its install in a wagon.

^^Writeup for a wagon :smt023 any progress on this yet?
I got my 02 wrx seats for $25 on CL. Text and offered him $25 for the fronts (he was asking $50 for front and rears).
Get there buy the fronts as planed. While loading the seats in my car. He asked me if I wanted to take the backs too, no charge?
he just felt that no one would buy just the rears..
$25 for front and rear wrx seats. best deal I think im ever going to get when trying to do simple cheap mods

WOW! That's the deal of the century! I still haven't been able to even find a rear wagon seat around here. They are either wanting $150 for them, or they are sedan seats. I'll have to wait for one to come by.

just wondering if anyone had tried this with their seats...the drivers side bolster on my WRX seats is worn down, would it be possible to swap the passenger seat to the drivers side track and vise-versa? i'm off at school and my seats are back home so I can only dream of them until I get home to install them!

Interesting idea. I know that you can just pull the seat covers off the seat frames. Maybe you can completley unbolt the whole seat from it's base.

thats what I'm hoping, because the passenger seat is like new! i'm just hoping that the seats will line up with the opposite rails, the only real difference would be that the airbags would be facing each other in the middle

i think only some of the newer WRX seats are heated

I think the newer WRX limited models have heat. But then again those have much less bolstering than the 02-03, to help fit fat americans into Subarus

If you swapped in WRX seats without the heating element, how could you keep the heated seats? I don't understand your question. On the other hand, if you got some WRX Limited (or whatever came with the heating coil from the factory), plug and play.

Thats what I mean, too bad I cant swap in WRX seats without heated seats for my LGT heated seats and keep the heated seat function.
Complicated but im just /rant

Well, you could always transfer the heating elements into the wrx seats, but that would require getting into the insides of the wrx seat and putting in the element someway...similar to aftermarket heated seat kits...
Like so (yeah its for a hyundai, but the principle is the same).
