Complete winter package swap.

So I have thoroughly read on the heated sest swap, but I cannot seem to find much info on the heated windshield/mirrors being transferred over to a regular outback. Maybe tapatalk sucks for searching, regardless if anyone has info or a link to anything that would be awesome. There is a outback at upull with heated seats, windshield and mirrors.

If it matters this is going on a 1999 outback.

Your outback should be prewired for winter package.
Heated seats- take out the trim that covers the parking brake and you will see 3 plugs (heated seats/windshield)
Heated mirrors- if you take out your door panel you will see an unused plug (looks like the one for tweeter)

Make sure to grab the switches!

How do I transfer over the heated windshield function/what is it?

The heated windshield has a built in defroster to keep the wiper blades from icing up. You'd have to buy a heated windshield, switch, and possibly wire it in. I doubt it's pre-wired for the heated windshield, but who knows.
