Please excuse me if my DIY skills are not up to par and I have some POTATO cam pictures but I hope it'll help someone out there.

Well I guess first things first.

I AM NOT RESPONSEIBLE IF YOU BREAK SOMETHING OR DAMAGE YOUR CAR!!!

Preperations

The most important part make sure you have what you need and the time to do it

For reference to anyone who wants to know this intake is coming off of a Phase II EJ25D on a Phase I long block
Recommended Time:

Depends on how much time you spend cleaning. The more your clean the better the paint will stick and the better it will look

Difficulty:

CAUTION you are dealing with fuel and Carb cleaner DO NOT BRING NEAR OPEN FLAME!!!!

Estimate:

between 2-3 hours. (Once you already have the intake removed)

Tools needed.

Degreaser (I used Purple power)
Parts cleaner(The canned type) 4 or 5 maybe? your call
Wire wool, Steel Brush, Wire Wheel (Any or all will work)
Masking Tape
Desired Paint and Clearcoat

This would also be a great time to file off the ugly and sharp casting marks with a file if you like. Really cleans up the appearance of the manifold imo

yo great write up. This inspired me to do the same. way cleaner than red/pink imo. So you just applied one thick coat and let it dry? That about one can of paint for the manifold? never used canned paint to do anything beside mark irrigation lines. thanks.

No problem. thanks for the reply. As far as I remeber just one can of paint. Instructions for using the wrinkle black are linked in the write up in step 16.
