I have to say that I'm very proud of the result. I've bought some Cobb Tuning equal lenght headers + hi-flow on eBay for 325$. From what I've saw on the internet this kit was being sold for 750$+ uncoated and 950$+ ceramic coated (Cobb's official listing). So I think I've made a pretty decent deal. They weren't in bad shape but since they were uncoated, paint was pelling off so thin rust was appearing. Look by yourself:

I was about to install them but I've decided to restore them the best I could and also protect the headers so they will have a long and healty life aside my Stromung cat-back. I've sandblasted them and painted with some hi-temp anti-rust paint (1400 degree resistant). So here's the final result.

This is the ceramic coated version from Cobb (1000$ ):

Looks nice - how many coats of paint did you chuck on?
You could heatwrap them too, to prevent the paint from chipping.

Good deal.

good stuff!

I've been thinking about the knockoffs of this design.

IMO i cant stand the EL sound, but I heard they make way more power than borlas, so i guess it kind of evens out

I've heard EL headers that sound really good. It's not that they're Equal Length, it's that they're longer, which makes everything quieter. TWE headers are much longer than the Cobb and they're noted for not being nearly as agressive sounding. And Pdawg's exhaust sounds good, he has the cobb.

I'll try toget sound clips when I have my TWE headers on. Should sound nice with my 2.5" STi catback.

BTW, I got them for $150 from someone on LGT
