My story - Got a tip from a friend that SL-i would be a good place to pick up JDM pieces for my outback from a good friend of mine.
I trolled the forums for a bit. Then I decided to register in search of JDM Projector pieces. Now visiting the forums is a daily routine for me.

The Car's Story - I saw this car on Craigslist selling locally, no pictures I might add. Decided to email/call the owner to meet up.
Ad had described it having a potential Head Gasket issue due to overheating problems. Upon talking to the owner we found out that,
she bought it new, had kept a logbook/receipts of each service done to it along with the window sticker. She took it to her mechanic/dealer
and got a quote for the job, 1500-2200 dollars (from both). The car was listed for 500. I offered 400 but final price of was 450.
Had my dad check it out for me (mechanic for ~13 years now). We replaced the thermostat and water pump, and she ran like new.
Total invested, 500 dollars. :D

2nd owner.
Bought at ~106k miles. Now has 117xxx miles.

Enough of the words, here come the pictures.

When opportunity arises, I'm gonna tackle the rear diffuser, front fascia and the grille.

I love how dealers assume that when a subaru comes in with overheating problems, it's instantly a headgasket. They don't even check anything else, just headgasket and nothing else....lol

They are fantastic, *knock on wood* I haven't been flashed or pulled by NYPD. Thanks once again! I might be knocking on your door for your tails and turn signals in the near future.

Haha yea. I think that the dealer and/or mechanic wanted to buy it off of the previous owner, hence the quotes.

Thanks Hinyo! Yea, feel free to take it, it comes out really good to be honest, and its cheap too! I'm gonna try and continue with the rear of the car this weekend.

Update 5-17-14

Managed to find time to detail the Subi for graduation ceremony. Took a lot of stress away from finals.
Gotta show up in style no? :D

Been ages since I updated my thread so here goes..

- It is parked right now pending rear brakes replacement
- Had it overheat a couple of times and loose coolant. Did a pressure test and it passed
- Installed a Inno Roof Rack Fairing that I plan to do-up in the spring.
- Installed the Pre-95 Legacy Intake Tube that I got from Harry's U-Pull-It along with a K&N Drop-In Filter

*Inno Fairing

Now, when I installed the Intake Tube, there a couple of hoses that were left disconnected from the intake tube itself (pictures below). Are they related to engine functionality/performance?
If so, what modifications would I have to do to re-connect them?

An update.. Busy with work and life.

I was able to get a set of Smoked JDM Taillights from r3v_v3ng3 .
Did an LED Exterior swap with the help of superbrightleds.com
Also got a a JDM Red L7 grille from ebay.

But the time has come...

It is burning coolant, and grey smoke is pretty thick, have a misfire code on cylinder 2. Odometer has 130k on it.
I was thinking it may be the Intake and/or Intake Gasket but, not really sure.

It is for sale so, if anyone on here is interested, I'll even leave the JDM parts on it. Shoot me a PM!
