80w90 is standard. . Unit takes organic gear oil but I only run MOTUL Motylgear 75w90 semi-synthetic or for the aggressive driver / 6MT STi I use MOTUL GEAR 300 Full Synthetic 75w90.
Lots of oppinioms no one is right.
Do Not use a mixture/cocktail !!!

Auto or manual? If Manual i recommend either the motul it the above post or subaru extra s. If its auto you need to use a dextron III or above. I would recommend using at least a synthetic dex 3 since it the recommend spec. Its hard to find though. you can use dextron V in place of it. Just has a few different friction modifiers. And is fully comp with dex 3 oil trans. Do stay away from micron and universal oils.

4.2 quarts. The extra s when sold by dealer only comes in 5 gallon containers IIRC. Some of the online dealers have start packaging it in quart bottles. Heres a link to fred beams amazon store

Or they seem to have a sale on their website

Ive never bought motul online, i always bought it local. so i can't recommend anywhere.
