Thank you, its starting to come together. I'm ready to swap turbos already. Stock 22e ecu right now with the VF-11 are 5psi. At this boost level the ecu can handle it fine and runs perfectly(aside from a slight BOV leak). Should be putting in the emanage within a month or so and I'm update on here as I make progress.

What type of AFM is that? Ej22t? How it runs with it?

That MAF was the 22t metal one. I don't recommend it unless you are running way more boost with a bigger turbo and injectors. I was literally just dumping fuel when I had that one in. Burned half a tank of gas in less then 50 miles and the car ran super rough. Swap back to the stock 22e one and in still a little rich but much closer to ideal. I'm getting about 20 mpg now. When I first finished the swap I was getting a bad misfire and couldn't get the car to rev past 3k so I swapped MAF's to that metal one and thats when I took the picture. I'm going to try and go get some slightly better pictures this weekend.

Still just crappy cell phone pictures but I put my WRX wheels back on, got my front lip back on, and redid my fog light wrap. One of these days i'm going to get motivated and take the good camera out for some decent pictures. I also need to get the car a bath soon.

Ordered a AEM wideband, HKS SSQV, and a dash gauge pod. I got the gauge pod in yesterday so I'm going to hit it with the head gun tonight and see if I can get it molded to my dash. Everything else should be here next week. Then its on to turning up the boost

Got this in the other day. Starting trying to fit it last night. Just hitting it with the heat gun right now a little at a time to get it to follow the bends in the dash.

saw a pic of your car while googling for 97 outback lips.
I just bought my 97 OB and it's my beater/DD/winterbeater/fun-mobile, i give zero ****s about this car and its so liberating.
just wanted to say i'm a big fan of the lip, and the yellow fogs, did you spray them or use a tint film? i went to wal-mart advance auto, autozone and orielly today looking for a yellow spray tint but didn't find anything. gonna try home depot tomorrow when I go pick up the garage door seal to make a lip like yours. maybe stained glass spray paint?

Are you going to use any other supporting parts to go with the TD04 instead of the VF 11? Should be able to use the stock ECU as long as you are staying at wastegate boost pressures with the better turbo, right?
I just picked up a 22T yesterday, and already had the TD04 and FXT intercooler, so it kind of sounds like we might be twins!

Nice, glad some of the pictures are actually help people out. I'm going to be trying a new lip sometime this summer but bang for buck on OB bumpers is the home depot lip. I looks good, cheap, and easy. The yellow fogs are a vinyl wrap that my girlfriend bought for me off of ebay. Heres the link, http://www.ebay.com/usr/rvinyl_inc , its really thick vinyl and it holds up awesome. Good luck with the lip an let me know if you need any pointers.

The td04 has different wastegate pressures from year to year so it depends on what version you get. I have an 06 so technically I could just run wastegate pressure on it and it would only be about a pound higher then the VF-11. But to answer your question, I am doing some supporting mods as well just to make sure that I don't have any issues with the cars once I'm ready to start turning up the boost. I will be replacing the fuel pump to a walbro 255, I'm putting in the 22t injectors until I can get it tuned a little (I will be going up to 550's at some point but I just want it running good first), and I will be running a wideband as well just so I can keep an eye on things. Congrats on the 22t. I don't care what anyone else says, those are by far my favorite subie motors. They are built pretty stout from the factory.

And just to confirm, you are using your cars FACTORY EJ22E intake, harness, and ECU? My TD04 is from the same 04 FXT that I got my intercooler from. I'm excited to get this thing together! Will the 22T injectors fit the 22E rails? And is a rising rate regulator necessary with that combo, or can that be addressed later on down the road?

The end of the 22t injectors I'd different than the 22e, they aren't swappable between rails. Pm incoming.

Correct. 97 22e intake manifold, factory harness, and stock ECU right now on 5 pounds of boost. Your td04 has a ~8psi wastegate so you not going to want to run that much boost with the stock ECU and no tune. The MAF voltage will max out and youll hit a fuel cut. And I have a set of injectors, rails, and manifold. So I'm most likely just going to swap intakes at the same time with just a few modifications to get all the electronics working right.

Well I have complete intake manifold still so I will just swap all of it if need be. I didn't get a PM...

I actually have just about EVERYTHING from the 22T car, so I'm going to go ahead and throw those injectors/rail at my 22E manifold while I've got things apart. And I guess it will be time for a piggyback/standalone sooner than I thought!

You will want to do a piggyback/standalone and wideband before you try to run the car at 8psi. But it sounds like your pretty close to having most of the main pieces to get it all together. Make sure you get the right waterpump for the 22t too. The 91's are the same as wrx, the 92-94 are unique only to those years. Rock Auto was the best price I found for the waterpump.

The rest of my gauges came in on Saturday so I got them in the pod and wired into power and ground. I still need to hook up the pressure sender and EGT probe but thats the easy part anyway. My HKS BOV also came in and I built a new flange from that and got it installed but don't have any pictures yet. Needs paint and then I will post it. I also need to get a video together for some sound clips.

Yeah, I just called up the dealer and ordered one. Its was about $25 for the arm and then I went to the parts store for the blade. They wanted another $25 for the blade from honda and it was about $12 at the parts store.

I have slacked off from posting for a little bit. I had some carnage a few weeks back and had to replace a bunch of parts. Ripped my DP into 3 pieces, destroyed a uppipe and turbo, and had to completely redo all my exhaust. But its back up and running now better then ever.
Also have pictures of the finished floors. I have a strut bar in there now as well but I don't have any pictures of that yet.

Installed a EBC as well. Low boost is set to wastegate for daily driving and trying to save gas. High boost is right around 10psi right now. Any more and I hit fuel cut. Plus i'm pretty sure my injectors are almost maxed so I need to swap in my tleg rails soon.
