Is it easy to install a new body kit? How much is involved? What kind of tools do you need for a job like this? Has anyone done a body kit swap on a 2002 legacy GT?

That's a tough set of questions to answer. Body kit installation complexity is determined by the quality of the molds, the components involved, amount of rust on the factory screws and bolts, etc.

My Outback front bumper was 4 bolts and 4 zip ties and a can of spray paint. Other kits are a few days worth of prep, fitment and paint.

Which body parts are you going to be replacing? Different body parts have different levels of difficulty.

Sideskirts are very easy - but the time is spent in PREP, not actual installation.

You always testfit, then trim accordingly, then test fit. And keep test fitting until it's perfect, then you prep for paint, then test fit again.

If the bodykit uses existing mount points, all you need is handtools for installation, but if the kit needs work to fit, you will need professional items.
