This is my 2000 outback sedan. When I first got her she was all stock but I've been modding her slowly. She's been my daily driver for 4 years now and has never let me down so I decided that's when she needed a make over which led me to some jdm parts and plastidipping the car.

Mods include:
Exterior: Jdm hid headlights
Jdm taillights
Jdm L7 grille
Drag dr31 rims
04 outback front bumper
Pearl white plastidipped

Performance?: Uel headers
Sti axle back muffler
Cusco strut bar
Whiteline steering rack bushings

Interior: Jvc double din headunit
Sony door speakers
10" subwoofer
Full led interior lights

First pictures after getting her a nice buff and wax

Then the mod bug hit

I never really liked the 2 tone so I decided to change that with some plastidip

Agreed!

The dip looks really good too. Did you add pearlizer to it?

Thanks and yeah added the pearlizer. It was hard to get it to coat evenly without it pooling up.

Thanks! I plan on blacking out the front bumper like how I had it before and some of the rear bumper. I'll probably dip all the trim black since it's a pain to peel those areas.

Yeah, This is the 3rd car I've dipped in my garage. Some of my neighbors that stopped by to check it out think it's pretty cool stuff. They probably secretly hate me haha

Looks awesome man! The pearlizer is something you really have to be patient with, it takes a lot of light coats to get what you want, same thing goes for the metalizers. Looks fantastic though! Quick question, I see you removed the amber in the headlights and looks like you painted that area all black, any problems with the blinker? What I mean is, is it still bright enough for people to see.

Those look like stock A-C type JDM lights to me?

Thanks guys! I love the look of the car.

The headlights are the a-c jdm headlights which was money well spent.

Do you have the leveler switch for the HIDs? It is a real nice feature of the JDM lights.

I do not. I was planning on getting one sooner or later. My evo came factory with the headlight leveler and it is sweet to see the lights go up and down when your on a flat road.

Yeah it peels. I had my evo dipped for a few months and peeled it without issues. As for suspension I actually like it all high. It makes driving around town so much nicer. My evo is pretty low so it kind of sucks driving around and having to look for every dip and bump on the road.

When you do get a switch, just make sure it is one for the A-C type lights. I just sold the last A-C switch I had so I cant help you. The D-type switch is incompatible with the older lights.

How would one know if it is A-C type or D type? I only ask because I need one for my lights.

It's a ridiculously small difference. It's the location of the sticker.
I pulled the switch on the left from a '98 RSK (A~C type) and the right came from my S401 (D-type)

There you go. I was going to dig through my pictures to see if I had good photos of both types, but Yama beat me to it. I only have D-type switches left in my possession, I just mailed off the last A~C type switch I had on wednesday.

Thank you Yamazaki! The switch I was looking at buying was the wrong one so you saved me the hassle of getting it wired up and not working.

It's all good. Thanks for the heads up on the switch tho. The hunt continues for one.

Sharp ride, man.

Thank you!
