So basically i have a legacy 2.5gt 1998 and i bought it with a crack in the front bumper its roughly 4 inches in length and is near the top of the bumper where there is no major body lines. I thought it would be easy to just find a new bumper replacement.... turns out its a nightmare so far. Soooo my plan now is to try and fix it myself. Now, the problem is ive never done body work and im not really sure what i should use to repair it with. && I'm not to concerned about paint because once i get everything cosmetically completed i plan on repainting it spruce pearl (i really like the stock color)

So basically here are my questions:

1. Has anyone repaired there front bumper cover?
2. What [should i / did you] use to repair it?

*and lets keep in mind im trying to do this the cheap way haha any help would be great.

currently no great pictures of the crack but ill post some up tomorrow.

Its better off getting a used good condition bumper. Plastic are tricky to work with. I dont think they sell those bumper new but i can source a used one for you. I'll pm you about it

Did you read this (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=27543&start=60) thread? Read especially the last page. There is a lot of plastic repair going on in there.

Yes on getting a new bumper. GT bumpers are pretty common and affordable. I did a repair on my GT-B bumper, but the time and the cost to do it was not cheap.

As for getting one new, they should still have them, but I would recommend used. The new ones come in raw plastic and the paint prep is a pain.
