I got a squeak in the head, assuming it's the cam/bearing. Could just be the Followers.. Will be taking the cover off this weekend.
I understand that the heads can't be repaired in the sense, that the bearings & cams are built to match properly? thus meaning I can't just get new bearings & a cam, since the head is ported for the cam it came with..?
I do have access to an EJ251 Head set out of a 2001 Legacy L. They seem alright, and what would I need to make that work? Just a new belt?
Doing the transmission on it this weekend, since a bearing is gone somewhere in the front. Got a cheap transmission from Hamiliton for $400 shipped with 140kms on it. Got new brakes for all 4, drilled and slotted, new e-brakes too. Got some other parts I bought last year or so, including a new lower rad hose, intake & exhaust gaskets, Valve Cover gaskets..
