I'm wanting to do a valve cover gasket and seal tube replacement on my 07 legacy 2.5i SOHC engine. Most of the walk through threads that I have read applies to the DOHC engines and from what I understand the two would change out slightly differently. ~?

Here's what I do know:
I know how to access them (what to remove, tools to use to get to them, etc)
I've read that it is 6 10mm bolts holding on the valve covers, just need to remove and replace the valve cover gaskets and the spark plug gaskets.

Here's what I need to know:
Is it necessary that I use a torque wrench?
If so, how many lbs of torque should it be tightened to?
What is the pattern that should be used to re-tighten the bolts on the valve cover?

Thanks in advance for any help! It's much appreciated!

If you have to ask, the answer is yes.
And im taking a stab at it and saying high single digits to low teens, good luck.
