So clutch pedal sticking on floor, cant engage clutch. Thinking a blown slave cylinder or pressure plate. Swapped the slave cylinder and then after an hour of bleeding the system I noticed the clutch fork orientation was looking a little off.
Obviously the issue was not the slave cylinder. I had some clutch engagement, now I have zero.
- Pulled the clutch fork boot and confirmed no broken teeth on the pressure plate.
- Clutch fork seems to be retained by the ball and appears to at least partially connected to the release bearing (its hard to see in there)
BUT
There is too much travel rearward and the fork has rotated counter clockwise from parallel to the bellhousing.
so the fork or the pivot pin must be hooped. My guess is both ... but the pin hasn't pushed through the fork. So maybe the pin just broke off?
Question is it typically the pivot pin or the bell housing that fails?
I will have to take it apart to see what gives but its kind of eating me not knowing what the problem is ... could be the end for my BD :(
