ok so i want to put in some foglights and i have a actual subaru foglight button but i have no clue how to wire this in. i was thinking this would count as an interor mod. i know ill need a wiring cluster but from there im in the dark automotive electronics arent my thing.

It should be fairly straight forward, but without a wiring schematic that includes the switch I can't give you exact instructions. While it wouldn't look OEM, it might be easier to just wire in a generic switch, they're usually only 2 or 3 wires. (Input, Output and a wire to ground a light if the switch is lighted)

How many pins are on the OEM switch that you have?

Yea, the generic switch I installed has 3 wires, and was easily affixed to my dash via drilling a hole (drilled a hole in the dash, and found a hole in the firewall to slide the wires through). You might be able to splice onto the existing wires (connected to the OEM fog light switch) using a parallel wire nut.

Notice how he already has the button guys? Anyway. The switch has the foglamp relay built in. So you'll have four wires. One will be a hot wire (positive from the battery, fused), one will be a ground, and one will be a splice from another wire that is hot with your lights most likely. The last will be the positive out to the lights themselves. I'll look in my chiltons and see what the wiring schematic says in there as far as colors.

The switch does not have a relay built in!! Weve discussed this in another thread.

Ive posted a basic wiring diagram in this thread

You may be able to just use the right size spade connectors to plug into the contacts individually, that's how my jdm headlights are hooked up.

If you need help with the pinouts for the switch PM me.
