door locks

Not sure if this is the right section to post at, so I apologize in advance if I did post in the wrong section. But recently bought a 95 legacy off of a friend and the right passenger door will not open unless opened from inside. Also cannot lock doors bc for some reason key will not unlock door. Just was wondering what would be the best way to go about fixing that, etc? All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Remove your door cards to see if the rod that goes to the door handle came off. If its the rear door, it could be the child lock safety thing. So your key cannot unlock it? how about lock? maybe something is binding which again have to remove your door card to inspect the inside.

it wouldn't be the child safety locks, as they'd only be able to open from the outside if that was the issue.

I agree with it being a Lock rod issue. Also " right passenger" did you mean the back or front door on the right side?
