Hello ladies and gents, I bought my 93 l wagon back in January of 2013 for an awesome $500! reason for the price was a blown rear differential, but the car was babied for 99 of its life, well at last that's what i was told. I'm the third owner of this beast, and this is the story that made me want to buy it even more:
The first owner bought the wagon somewhere in Alaska, then in the mid 2000s he moved to NY, that's where the second owner bought it from him and then took it on many road trips and such, well he then moved to South Florida a few years after and one day while cruising on the highway his rear diff locked up and hit a guard rail, fortunately for the both of us he only broke a tail light and made a small dent on the passenger side fender.

first one's a picture of the car the morning after i got it towed home, and the next two are the cellphone pics the dude sent me.
I'm mechanically inclined, but i will not touch anything unless i have the time to do so, unfortunately when i bought the wagon i was working two jobs so i had no time to replace the differential, so i had a shop do it for ~$900 (yes i know i could have spent less if i would have done it myself but what could i do?)
and then what do you do after replacing a vital part on a car that you just bought and you're not sure whether the guy that sold you it was telling the truth about maintenance and the related? if you guessed take it on a two hour trip across the state of Florida you got it right! i drove from Fort Lauderdale to Naples one weekend, and i also realized that this ca gets awesome gas mileage for its age

Then in April or MAy i believe, I had a recognized Subaru tech do a timing job on it since again, I did not have the time to do so; well that was an $1100 spent on a good cause :smt026

and then got wheels on the car after trading for old parts from my previous vehicle, and yes the wheels looked hideous on the car!

and i forgot to mention that it had the check engine light on due to the purge valve solenoid, and luckily i found a green 93 legacy at a junkyard and scored this

few months after me and my girlfriend decided to move back up to PA, so we packed up the cars and left, highway mileage is awesome on this car i say!
then when i got here i traded the 18's for these 17's

went to a local cars and coffee and met a friend (spot the differences)
