Greetings from Costa Rica.
Long time fan of Subies, especially the Legacy, mechanics has been one of my hobbies, always doing something to my Kawasaki JS 750 sxi, Stand up Jet, the Real Jet Ski !!
Finally decided to get my self a Leggy, so i bought a 1994 JDM wagon.
I understand JDM 1994 is second gen, as on the US market is 1995. (correct if I'm Wrong)
My wagon comes with a High and Low gear box, not sure if this is the correct way to name it, my apologies as English is not my native language.
So how do you call this gear boxes ?
Find some pictures my blue Leggy Wagon

Checked out your V.I.N-it was built in Japan-for the North/Central/South American market-if I'm not mistaken-She's got the best engine Subaru ever build! Never though a front clip would make a planter for a banana plam! Good looking dog! And, Welcome :smt006

BG7AL7J - 2nd Gen Legacy Wagon, 2.2L AWD, 1993-1995, General Market Left Hand Drive, ???, 5MT.

I do not have a 2nd gen General Market breakdown for the 6th character, so I do not know what model it is from that, but from the pictures I see it is a Legacy GX which makes this a European (or possibly a South American?) market car.

The High-Low gearbox is called "Dual-Range" or "All-Range" by Subaru depending on market and generation.
