no torque bind?

i have a 93 wagon AWD and per the flashing light and the code i pulled it says duty c, well i can turn around fine and the rear has no power when i spin the tires. my question is this, can the tcu be burned up or is the duty c just stuck "on" giving me only awd and thats what the flashing light is talking about?

Your AT transmission is stuck in FWD mode, probably because the Duty C solenoid is dead.

so it died in the "open" position? from what i have read i can drive it this way until i get the parts so its no a real big deal right now correct?
