Nice vette! They were my favorite cars, then I fell into the import scene. Looks great though...

I think I need to change...

Wow, GOOD WORK! All by yourself?

i can't take all the credit for that beauty. my dad helped a lot with his seemingly infinate car knowledge...first time i got to tear down a 350 small block and rebuild it (with help of course) 8)

Tris, do you need to change your shorts because of the girl or the car?
Glad to see it up. Love the deep red.
Thanks Bella 8)

P.S. One of my friends is restoring his 74 firebird....He thinks it's the best car of 1974. I'll have to show him this one

Mmmm, nice ray. You ever run it in the 1/4?

06-02-2005, 07:31 AM
Just love those small blocks !!! And a woman that can rebuild one WOW, That is a nice vet Bella how long did it take you to do the make over ?

matt - i haven't gotten the chance to run it in the quarter yet. it just got finished late last summer. i'm also a little nervous about running it at beaver...

mark - thanks

pete - it took six years...it sat in a body shop with the body off the frame for a good portion of that time...kinda ran out of money a couple times

thanks for all the nice comments guys! :-D

Now how about some pics of you on the hood of this beast?

06-09-2005, 01:39 PM
um...there is a reason corvettes are called "glass pigs"

the hood is entirely made of fiberglass. there isn't any steel framing in there.
besides, i barely LEAN on her, let alone think about sitting on the hood

.....damn it.....there isn't a drool smiley in the list. I think Tris used it up!

Nice work!! I like the Mako. Nice touch.

My dad was an autobody man for over 30 years. About 12 yrs ago he restored a 61 Impala Super Sport convertable. He's changed it from an auto to a 4spd and is now in the process of putting a corvette posi in the rear end.

For the first several years he took it to car shows...it only took 14 shows for him to start getting more trophies than shows he's been to. He stopped going to shows and just does cruising around New England.

So I know what goes into such labors of love....nice job!

Love the vintage!

thanks for coaxing her Mark.

Wow nice. I always like the 63-68, and the 69-84 body styles. My father's got a '65 vette smallbock coupe in almost the same color.

I have a 77 chop-back in silver.

That really is a nice car.
