So I need some new tires and I'm going with some gabber at2's. I'm just wonders what size you'd all recommend.

I already have everything to make them fit (Forester sturts, wheels, and ect)

With the 205R15 there's more room and less hammering...
With the 215R15 there's tons more options if I had a flat outa town or something...
and with the 16s it would be less sidewall which should mean better handling on tar (lets face it, that's where it spend most it's time)

So what do you think?

I think you should get Yokohama Geolandar AT-Ss instead :)

On tirerack, they're only $8 more per tire (in the 215-65-16 size), they'll give a lot better ride & noise level on pavement, and they're very well rated in the Forester crowd for light to moderate off roading. The weak point of the AT2s in winter is their ice traction - the Geolandars are pretty well reviewed on Subaruforester.org for year round use and it looks like they'd put more rubber down for slippery situations than the AT2s. I think they're a better compromise for someone who isn't "hardcore" with off-roading.

But if you really have your heart set on AT2s, I'd say go with the 16s. I doubt you'll see a whole lot of difference off road unless you're really tumbling over rocks.

Cool thanks for the input! I was leaning toward the 16s too but as it turns out a matching 5th 15" wheel fell into my lap so it looks the universe is pushing me into the 15". (Full size spare!!!)
