They have a few Subarus at a auction house 1/2 an hour away from me. same place I picked up my BG limited.

This wagon is what I am hoping to come home with. looks like some damage next to the fog light.

Then we have this dirty girl. If she has a 5mt I will give her a good once over.

If this first gen is manual and under 250k miles it will be leaving with me.

And then there is this sad sight. If I can get it to my house for under $500 and make enough cash parting it out to cover my attorneys fees for when my wife leaves me for having it parked in our mini apple orchard it's mine.

I won't have any info on them till Saturday, all I have to go on now is those photos and that they have a clean title and have passed CA smog(except the fozzy corpse). Normally every thing has mid to high miles, the BG I got had 160k.

It's an auction so there is no telling what they will go for, I have seen a Festiva with 200k and hvac vents filled with dead leaves go for 2,00 and an 04 trailblazer in perfect condition go for 1,800. one lady bought an Eclipse thinking it was a mustang because it had Mustang 3 spoke wheels. people buy the wrong cars. Anything can happen. only takes one asshat to push a price sky high.

Wish me luck!!

I am in a sweet spot, 4 hours from the ocean and we don't get enough snow to use salt.

Well the wagon was the only one worth looking at. fozzy was close to 300k miles with thrashed interior and bad paint.

Every piece of the taillights on the first gen was cracked or broken molding on the passenger side roof gone just a ton of duct tape residue left. Auto with 250k and thrashed sun baked interior.

Sadist part of the whole day was that smashed forester was a 5mt with a clean interior.

But good news the outback wagon was mostly clean. 8 or 9 out of 10 on the interior. no sign of HG failure, ran well in park( you can't move them.) body had some rough spots.

grampa shower handle is a bummer. but the hitch is a plus.

Nothing an afternoon with some elbow grease and plasti dip can't clean up. action starts a 10 or 11 tomorrow. wish me luck. I just missed out on an 2000 with some issues and 270k for 1,100 sooo hope this works out!!

SAD DAY. I walked away empty handed. some red neck dumbass jumped in and started the bidding at 1700 and ran it up to 2600. The wagon had 135 bucks in DMV fees. so after tax, 10% buys premium and DMV fees he ended up paying over blue book for a car he had never driven. FML.

I am up in the Chico/Paradise area.

I would much rather swap bumper and fender than do a 5mt swap. so we will see. I

But the 1st gen has no rust on the rear quarters-around here-even after you fix the rusty spots and don't drive it in the winter-IT STILL REARS ITS UGLY HEAD :smt013

Were you lucky enough to find a manual?

Nice car no matter what, though. We don't have enough Bajas on the site.

Turns out the guy who got the OBW took it to my local subie shop with a buyer. Huge list of things wrong with it. And the buyer walked away. that dude will be loosing alot of money, have not seen the wagon around town and he lived 2 miles away from me.
