Whats your Subaru wish list?

Is there any type of vehicle that you wish Subaru would produce, or are there any aftermarket parts you wish someone would make for a Subaru?

As for myself, I'd like for some type of truck type thing to come back, maybe with slightly more conventional truck looks so it doesn't go the way of the Baja. I'd also like to see some sort of powerful uber-luxury sedan, something that can compete with G37x and Audis and such.

As for parts, I'd really like to see a supercharger set up that mounts in place of the intake manifold and has individual throttle bodies and velocity stacks, with looks reminiscent of the old weiand blowers. I'm not sure how well it would perform, but it would look cool sitting on top of a boxer.

Well, I for one would like to see the 6th gen get the full S-edition STI treatment. Of course, since the 5th gen never got one (I do not count the tS), I guess they would call it the S403.

My request would be simple.

Bring us the Turbo BRZ. It doesn't have to be outrageous. 250hp.

It would pretty closely match the power/size/weight of the FD that I had. You would probably see me listing my BD for sale shortly if they did.

Somebody at Subaru was teasing a 250HP BRZ that wasn't turbo'd. Not sure if that was a joke or a pipe dream, or if it's actually in the works, but that would be neat.

I agree. I've always dreamed of doing up a Baja to be a two-door, with a bit of room behind the seats. Like an extended cab pickup with a 6foot bed.

I wish they would build the SS again. Not like an updated, 2014 version - but the twenty something year old version just fully restored and with more 5mts and less automated seatbelts.

I know right! I found a 94 Touring wagon on a local craiglist for dirt cheap due to trans problems. Pairing amazing engines with lackluster transmissions seems to be a SOA thing.

The 4EAT was a pretty stout transmission.

People are bad at replacing the fluid in the automatics - they seem to think because it's an "auto" that it doesn't need any maintenance.

Yup. It's like paying a "wagon tax" nowdays, as the outback commands a higher MSRP and much higher resale.

I just test drove an '09 Outback (must have been the premium, not the limited though) at a dealership, had 64,000 miles, 5MT, in perfect shape. Can you guess what the asking price was?

Nope, they wanted 18,000 for it. I could buy a new Impreza for that. Meanwhile you can get Legacys that are newer with similar mileage and features for 3-4,000 less.

Only ridiculous if they don't build it... So, yeah. Ridiculous. :lol: But that would be nuts. I'd love to see it. Or even better, twincharged. Blower for down low grunt, turbo for the high-end.

It was also terrible (only a prototype) - it only ran on 10 or 11 cylinders when running and just had lots of problems.

I think a forced induction 6 cyl would be awesome though.

Didn't Ferarri run flat 12s for a while?

Yep. For a long time. Those engines I think are flat plane cranks with higher displacement. They sounded nasty and still do I'm sure... if they run.

I wish they would make a 2014 version of the SVX but with a STI six speed and a 300 hp 3.6 liter H6. They sandbag that engine too much.
