Been lurking, figured I'd say hi first

Hey all, names Randy. From Medina, Ohio. I roll in a '96 legacy L wagon. 2.2Lm auto, awd, 232K, as far as I know it was all original til my hands got to it. I bought it to do the Chumpcar series, had friends back out once I got it driving again, and it turned into my daily shortly after. I call it my hooptie, but honestly I'm selling my '01 ranger because I hate it now and would rather drive the Sube instead.

I plan on upgrading what I can with as little budget as possible of course. I'm looking at making some of my own braces and reinforcements, and of course I have questions on just about everything, but I'm capable of building about whatever I think I want to.
How I got the car basically after my brother rear ended my brother, and my friend who owned the car before hit 3 deer, and that was already pieced back together.

Shortly after I got it, the curse also got me and I got the bumper knocked off, so I put a "new" one on

Yeah, it's a used dirt late model bumper. A lot of work went into making that work.
Got some free wheels, sanded, painted and threw some free tires on

Good luck on keeping it alive. My dad used to live in Ohio, and he hit more than his fair share of deer, too.

r3v_v3ng3, Your DIY is what I based my little bored doodles on. I plan on making mine a lot like yours, really appreciate all the pics you posted of it.
I get called Mad Max often because of the front bumper, but when I come off the track at Lorain speedway after running the parking lot drags race in it, and the kids are so excited whether I win or lose out there, I feel like I won anyways!
I've gotten 100's of compliments(backhanded or not) and people taking pics of it everywhere I go.
For a car that's been to hell and back after being rebuilt so many times, ChumpCar felt right for it, but unfortunately I think I'm giving it more torture then that!
