I just got the hood scoop yesterday. so what im attempting to do is try to fit the sti hood scoop on my hood. and its wayyyy toooo bigggg lol :lol:

and how does this guy fit his wrx scoop on? its flush so nicely. now look at mine.

and is this guy who did his wrx scoop on here? i need to know where exactly to cut the hood and all. and this will be attempt on another hood, just incase i fuck up :roll:

I would get a L hood, without a scoop,
and cut that.

I am not sure if he's a member or not. It was discussed on NASIOC not too long ago. Basically he cut the hole small, then bent the metal in and down for mounting brackets.

yep, i might as well get another hood and do it. im not sacrificin my hood for that lol. and i will paint it...and turbo it sometime years on :wink:

but im lookin at some wrx hoood scoops, thinkin of gettin another one :lol:

That guy's also over at WRXF too (boy...haven't been there in a while). I believe his body shop cut the hole and left enough metal to be bent down and make tabs for the mounting bolts to fit through. By bending the tabs down, it also made it so the scoop would sit nice and flush. It's also an L hood, so you're going to need one of those (trade? lol). Done correctly as pictured, I think it looks pretty good on the BD/BG.
