Hey guys... Been lurking for the last few months and thought I would say hi and post up my ride... Nothing special but it's my dd and meant to stay reliable... Still haven't decided what direction I want to go with it... Bit I have about a year to decide as I get my finances in order.... But just for a little background.. This isn't my first 5 star rodeo:
First(RS Sedan):
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2014/09/DSC04444-1.jpg (http://s19.photobucket.com/user/DoriNinja/media/Ghosts%20of%20vehicles%20past/GC/DSC04444.jpg.html)
Second:

Third:

And now I'm on to my legacy... Second was a 20g EJ255 and a complete riot but too much race car... Third was an STi swapped RS, I ended up getting a flooded car for a donor CAR and had a lot of issues... Got it together and running but never could figure out some electrical quirks and downgraded financially unfortunately so it was time to get something simple and reliable... Traded for y legacy plus cash for the non running RSTi
Day I got her:

Small world, I know the kid who currently owns the camo green impreza.
I saw the camo green one, and thought it was r3v_v3ng3's brother's car.
Also, you got a pretty cool car to start with. Already having the UELs and catback? Hell, a lot of us have of us stuggled for a year before getting to that point.

Yeah last I heard he blew it twice and parted the coupe out :( makes me sad I built that thing from the ground up... Wish I would have kept it and finished it... Oh well
And yeah, that's mainly y I jumped on it cause it was 90% "done" to the level I wanted for a daily driver so it would be easy for me to not mod it past the few things I did until I'm financially sound again and can afford to :)

Yeah... what you heard was right sadly. To put it bluntly he's an idiot, and his inexperience with turbo cars and lack of proper maintenance killed the car. It's a shame.
I recognized the wheels and the army sticker in the rear window, it's still on there last I remember!
Looks like you have a good legacy to have fun with now.

Haha I didn't want to call him out... But it did seem that way... Unfortunately I didn't realize it till after the sale was made or I never would have done it... :( Oh well live and learn... And thanks! I really like her :)

It's just my opinion, but I think you should finish the D type swap. Showing all that weatherstripping and the gap by the bumper kind of detracts from the lights...
I love those wheels! My first vehicle was black with green wheels.Admittedly, yours pulls the look off a little better.

I never notice the gap... And I cannot afford shipping on a hood and bumper from Japan trying to find some a/b/c eye lids to try to hide it a little... But no big deal, cause again I don't really notice it with the car being black

And I'm not sure if green is what I really want personally.. But rocking it in honor of my buddy who passed away as it was his favorite color... And car will be midnight purple as soon as the quarter panel is fixed so not sure how it will match...

The gap actually doesn't look as bad as I thought(heard) it'd be.

The gap does not look as bad if you have a dark colored car. The gap was extremely pronounced on my silver car before I put the hood and bumper on.

This is my old car! and you forgot the delta camshaft regrinds and forged pistons in your mod list.
I and have a set of eyelids if you want some but they are white.

HAHA! And it's got green rims again! I love it.

Haha yeah right :) probably gonna change it up soon... Thinking flex blue...
Dori Ninja
10-16-2014, 06:35 PM
Lmk about thoes eyelids!
And I didn't know it had pistons too thought u just said rods! That's awesome though cause I was just thinking of piecing together some parts to turbo the beast on low boost.... Probably re spring my spare heads I ha e at my dad's and throw an emanage on it and run like 10psi on a vf39 or something for funsies lol
But with that... Do u know what the compression is now??

10-16-2014, 06:38 PM
Oh and another update... Just ordered some Oem 05 STi rear flares... Gonna throw them on to cover up where I gotta cut out some rust... And to add that tad extra clearance for the summer wheels that rub slightly :)
02_Legacy
10-16-2014, 10:33 PM
Its got manley 612102C-4 pistons, compression is 9.75:1 if I remember correctly, it did not go down much. 10psi is too much imho for that engine, I was running 6 with the supercharger and I blew it up... three times, granted two times it was because my aftermarket MAP sensor went bad and I wasn't adding fuel.
Here is a pic of thoes eyelids, I would take $30 for them but I'm not going to GB any time soon.

Hrmmm... Well I know the valves float past 6psi... But the block should hold that much with out the pistons and rods in there... :/ but I'll PayPal u $30 and u can throw them in the mail ;) Hahahaha

:) got some STi front seats.... Debating what to do for the rears now as I like the pass through on the stock seats.... But obviously they don't match.... Hrmmm... Also, getting some flares off an 05 outback next week... So hopefully I'll be able to get them on and have her dipped next week!!! :)

How did you do that to your door cards? Did you just buy fabric? Or take them out of the STI?

I did it when I owned the car. I used this fabric (http://www.fieldsfabricsonline.com/Ultrasuede-ST-Soft-Premium-2810-Marino_p_2769.html) and cut it the same shape but slightly larger than the existing fabric. Then I just tucked it in to the door card all the way around and put a little glue around the edges. Its a little time consuming, but not hard.
