97 legacy L wiper issue

Have a wiper problem. They park like normal. But they only go up about halfway across the windshield. Irritating. This a wiper trans problem?

Front or back?

If it's front do you have one or two motors?

If it's back, I'd say you need a replacement motor, it's a common failure with tons of salt & dust always collecting on the back window and getting into everything, straining the motor.

It's the front wipers. It only has 1 motor. It seems to be opperating normally. Linkage failure perhaps?

When the wipers stop going up the windshield, do they immediately start back down or is there a delay?

No delay at all. They opperate normally aside from only going up half way. No binding or delay or anything like that
