subaru legacy 01 dash lights off when headlights on

so i was messing around with my new gt fog lights and i learned my fog light switch is bad (not the point) but i was moving things around in the area with the cruise and fog light switches are and now my dashboard lights are off when the headlights are on. but when i turn them to DRL the odometer and clock lights come back. :smt021

Did you accidentally turn the dimmer ring (turn signal stalk) down all the way?
