Figured i'd post this up over here aswell as the usual hangout.

I had a good two years in the B4 RSK, but i was starting to get a bit sick of the age and difficulty in getting any more power out of them without going single turbo.
So a few weeks ago i bit the bullet and picked up a tidy 2006 BP5 GT spec B with 120k km, not miles like you lot use, on the clock.
Spent quite a while searching for a nice one with full leather and manual, suprisingly rare! But finally got there in the end.

Mods so far:

Interior:
AVS S5 alarm
Defi BF boost gauge

Audio:
JDM double din fascia kit
Alpine IVE-W554ABT double din headunit
Polk MM series Front components & rear coaxials w/ JBL GTO1004 amp
Rockford Fosgate Punch P1 12" sub w/ Rockford Fosgate Prime 1200d amp

Exterior:
LED 20w park lights
LED 50w fogs

Stage 1 e-tune by Cryotune
From a few of the last revision pulls it seems to be sitting around 155kw/285nm

And here she is...

First day i had it i had an AVS S5 alarm put in (insurance company request)
And next on the list was a Defi boost guage. Went this route as in the future i'll probably get a couple of other gauges. And being a JDM car you gotta have some homeland goodness.

Install was a bit of a mission but managed to get it setup how i wanted. When i get more gauges they'll go in the top cubby and the controller will have to go somewhere else.

Love the look of the lights. Having matching parkers really cleans the front end up.

Is it at all possible for you to get a set of those tail lights and send them to me here in the states?!?!?!

Not sure about Andy_Mac but I personally haven't seen many for sale, you could probably find some at local NZ wreckers but the price won't be cheap. Add shipping costs on top and it'll quickly become a ridiculously expensive exercise  .

One of the many upsides to living in NZ is the obvious abundance of JDM cars on our roads. Couldn't drive 10mins without seeing at least one other one.

Haven't ever had the need to look for a set in nz but as soba noodle says they wouldn't be very common. They're still reasonably newish cars so not many will have made it into the hands of wreckers yet.

Yea always forget you guys never got the facelift wagons, and your outback ones have a different design again, slightly better than the pre-fl with all the Orange I guess but still not great.
Honestly though should be easy as to find a pair on eBay, or similar pretty cheap. Even japanparts.com has them for 300usd + shipping of course. Have to be pretty serious to take that route though.

Or possibly with the help of someone on here who speaks a bit of Japanese you could always try yahoo auctions.

Haven't posted here in a while so I'll give a bit of an update

Audio install is now completed other than getting a steering wheel control system installed and dynamatting the lot. Gutted everything and started from scratch, double dinn headunit with all four doors and sub amped.

Sounds a million times better than the mcintosh system ever did and not having to use a fm tuner for the phone anymore was reason enough to upgrade.

Stage 1 Cryotune is now finished too and sitting at 155kw/285nm with it maxing out at 16.2psi
Originally it was getting all the way up to 18.9psi before the tune and was fairly erratic so I'm happy to keep it lower for the sake of stability. Responsiveness is much better throughout the rev range and the drive by wire is now a lot closer to the feel of the old cable throttles.

So the plan is now to save up and get a turboback exhaust, some silicone intake pipes, anything else needed and wind it up to 18-19psi and see what it can make since the VF45's bearings apparently aren't as temperamental as the journal bearing VF38's at that level.

I am green with envy over your wagon! I wish the U.S. had an option for a Spec-B wagon, 2005 is the only year Subaru offered a turbo manual wagon in the States :/

I have the older version of your speaker system in my car. (Components front and rear though) Was a PITA to wire up, and my out of balance snows shook all the wires loose so I only have one tweeter total working right now. :P

Can't wait till it's warm so I can re-wire everything.

Didn't find it too hard to do myself, last legacy had infinity's which where considerably larger in every way so these seemed like a breeze to install. Sound quality is heaps better too.

Headliners now up, just got to sort out the remaining grey piece on the front seatbelts and wrap the A, B and C pillars in some sort of alcantara/ ultrasuede type material.

Alcantara wrapped front pillars now installed. Still undecided on how to wrap c pillars since they have two different pieces plastic welded together and I only really want to wrap the upper half of it :/
