Hey hows it goin fellaz! I'll go by the name J. I got this link off Masube81. Thanx very much!!

Well this is my '98 Liberty! It's a Bilstein Edition because it has the Bilstein Suspension package or something like that!!! This is what it looked like when I first got it back in March...

At the moment i've been trying to save up some money for a 2.5" exaust system, lowered suspension and i'm thinking about making my own grill or buy a new flashy one!!

Hope you like my ride!

Your Liberty looks good. What country are you from? Do you have any rubbing issues with the 18s? What is the width and offset of the rims?

So what did you do with your stock rims?

Yes, dark blue sedans are rare...here too. Looks damn good though!

WELCOME!! Glad to see our international roster is expanding.

That is a sweet setup you have, with the Bilstein package. Keep us updated to your mods!

Hey... sorry it took so long to reply to you guys... but work has been very busy!!

Well to answer your questions.. I don't know what the offset is.. but the width (I believe) is 7.5. I only have rubbing issues when I go too fast around a corner. This is really weird though.. mainly because my suspension is rock hard.. the car does not bounce up and down.. and yet.. it sits pretty high.. so I don't know how it could rub. But it does.. and thats that!!

One thing that bothers me is that I'm gonna have to get the guards flared and rolled because the wheels sit out about 5mm. But we shall see in time!

And the other questions... I got trade in on my stock wheels. And I'm from Tasmania... the little crappy island thingy at the bottom of Australia!!!

Hey Paria nice ride dude ! and I love those rims, If you are going to put a lowering kit on you may find that you only have to roll the lip in on the gaurds as the top of the tyre lays in when lowerd.

And by the way wheres the turbo ??? you wont be able to keep up with those aussy V8s with out it :D

Back after a long stint of draggin Aussie Muscle!! Don't worry Pete, I don't need a turbo to keep up with them!
I was draggin my mate last night. He has a Ford EB GT. I blew him off the line to about 55-60kmh... then he blew passed me! I got nothing in the long run! But hey... who cares!

Anyway... I came on here to tell you guys that I've updated my exhaust! It's now a 2.5" from the cat back with a hypertech cannon (4" tip). Sounds awesome! Have a look!

That's the way it goes with Subarus...you'll outrun the other cars, until the drivetrain loss sets in, which is why its important to have much better numbers at the flywheel than the opposing car.

Welcome to the board... My Old leggy was the same color, looked nice when it was all shined up and in the sun... Other than that everyone thought it was black.

Tris, Why? you looking for stock GT rims?

Since my last time on here.... i've done a bit of changing to the liberty

here's how it goes:

19" Dolce DC-12s
G4 Coilovers
Whiteline Camber Kit
Tinted windows - 20% ontop of already existing 35%
JVC DVD Head Unit
In dash TV screen with TV Tuner
... and i've recently taken off the rear spoiler

That actually looks pretty VIP-style...

If that's the look you're going for, might I suggest:
low profile mirrors (JGTC style, or Ganador)
Roll or FLARE all the fenders.
Shave/delete side marker lights, and all door handles, including rear trunk lock
Shave door bump strips
Remove center grill peice

And never exceed 100km/h. You are a roller, not a racer! :)

I love the dark blue man, thats hot! Not a big fan of the chrome giant stunna rims, but then again, im not too much into the bling bling myself. Still looks nice though. Why did you take the rear spoiler off? I think these cars look better WITH the rear spoiler.

How do you like your new suspension setup? how is it difference from the bilsteins? How does it ride.. like is it super hard when you go over cracks and stuff.. can you feel all the little knicks and cracks in the road?

Also, what type of exhaust is it? Got any soundclips?

Either way, nice ride man!

So I take it this is more of a show-car than a go-car. Not a fan of chrome, but to each his own. I've got a GT-B Bilstein suspension on the way for myself.

Nice car mate!

haha yeah didn't think u guys would be into the big chrome thing... but the lib isn't a fast car... so why not do something different

at the moment... the suspension is too stiff and u can feel all the bumps and what not. Definitely try to avoid potholes at all costs!!! But apart from that, it rides pretty good. I dont like the wave effect u get in normal cars when going over bumps!!!

we don't have any buick regals or chevy luminas here in Tasmania... we r limited in what we can do.

the idea over the next year is to build it up VIP style.. with a custom kit, repsray it black with a blue pearl... throw some TVs inside and do a boot install

and its just a cheapo exhaust.. nothin special... and no sounds clips, sorry

don't need a turbo if i'm going to roll!

1 vote for keeping it this color. I really like this color, and like was said, this could really lend itself towards VIP styling. I think the money spent on a paint job could be better spent elsewhere on the car. Unless you are doing alot of body smoothing and such that will basically wreck your current color.

And I imagine your suspension is the least of your worries when it comes to potholes.

The reason the suspension is so stiff is because there's no rubber to absorb the rolls.

Yeah, the tires are a part of the suspension too! Rims don't do much absorbing.

PariaH

yeah little rubber would affect it too... but i never wanted to build it up as a fast car..... but if I did decide to throw an EJ20T in.. I would change the wheels for sure... drop it down to 17s.

so u guys don't get that colour in the states? I've seen base models here that r the same blue.... hmm interesting

the long term plan is to have most things shaved on the body... airbrushing inside too.

other than that.. i will just keep building it up as I go... thats if an S15 silvia i like doesn't pop up!

Americans get that color.

Wiscon_Mark
01-04-2007, 10:59 AM
No, it was available here in the states, it just isn't common at all. My car has it, I know the 95/96 Sedans and Wagons came with in in a single color. And I think 95-97 Outbacks got it in the two tone combined with slate metallic.

I have this color

I like you mirrors (rims)

Congrats on your ride. I like how you went wingless, you reaaaally don't see any legacy gt cars around here without rear wings.

Any new pics?

That car is SICK with the 19" wheels on it. I didn't think I was going to like it, but the chrome suits the dark blue very well. Excellent job on the car so far.
BTW, did you toss the "Liberty" badge from the rear of the car or do you still have it? If you still have it, I'd be interested in purchasing it...
