I have determined that the Jetta VR6 is very close performance wise to my legacy. I run a drag with two of my friends (both have VR6s). One of them rides stock the other has pulleys, exhaust, cold air intake. Before I did any work on my car, I would beat the stock jetta by about .2 seconds in the quarter and the upgraded would beat me by about .2 (extremely close IMO). After I have done the work on my car, I beat both by about 1 - 2 seconds. I just wanted to point out that the two cars are very similar in performance... and I would also like to point out that the Legacy can now possess the alias "Jetta Pwner"

What changes have you made to your car?

opps didn't see your link...

So that's with just an intake, pulley, and exhaust?

No offence but I'm having a very hard time believing this one.... or better yet, are these MKIII or MKIV VR's and do your friends know how to drive ? I have a '97 GT and there's no way in hell its anywhere near as quick as my MKIII Jetta GLX was having owned both cars at the same time. I can't see an intake/pulley/exhaust making up the difference either (15hp gain ?) Even the MKVI while heavier isn't that much slower than a MKIII.

Something is probably broken on the Jettas.

Silly Volkswagens.

(I'm joking, Mr. Knoll.)
