I apologize in advance for the picture. It is a little hard to see the actual issue. My selectors (defrost, feet, face and feet, etc) light up when I first get in my car. And I can switch between them. Then sometime down the road the lights (little green one's under the selectors) will not show, as seen in the picture. When this happens it is stuck in the same position it was in before they went out. I've checked the plug in the back and it was tight and secure. Any ideas?

Pull your a/c controller out. Dissassemblr and wash with warm soapy water, qtips and soft towel. Most likely coffee or soda in the buttons making them stick. You can test by spraying the hell out of the face with glass cleaner and cycling all the buttons to free them up

It's not the buttons getting stuck. It's when the lights go off under the buttons they won't switch when you hit the buttons. It's something like a bad solder joint or something

Yea I have a similar issue. I just deal with it by repeatedly hitting the button rapidly until it does what I want. Jk. I've found if you hold the button down it gives the mechanism time to change. Like maybe the electric motor is worn out and it takes time to make its move.
On the other hand actually agree with keepers too. I think it may have to do with the buttons getting shit down in them. Cu I had sticky button syndrome and I cleaned it and discovered this issue.

I have rebuilt my AC controller like 3 dozen times in 5 years. I recently had to do the same to my hazard switch when my turn signals stopped functioning. The buttons tend to get stuck coming out, and do not disengage fully when you change mode.
