I'm probably one of the new guys, Superu told me to come over here after I got my Outback. I have to admit, I am very impressed with how much crap I can load into this wagon, workhorse.

This is supposed to be the wife's beater that doesn't get modded, but that plan isn't going that well so far. Visions of superchargers have been floating through my head lately... I'm screwed.

SLI unlike LGT who cater to 4th gen+ and our close friends at LC cater to 1st get, we cater to the Subaru Legacy platform all gens, Outback and Baja's alike.

Regardie, nothing against you, it just drives me crazy when people label us Gen specific or don't cater to a specific gen.

It takes time to gather info for everyone to use. But the more people sign up and the more activity, we get the info. We don't steal info from other forums and post as our own either. We do it the old fashioned way. :-)

Yea it was awesome lol I have 2 CR-V's right now, a 2000 and 2010. The 2000 will be replaced soon by something a little more Subaruish.

I lurked for nearly a year before joining. Jumped into the Subaru head first, being that my first time 'working' on a car shy of changing the oil was pulling the 2.2 from my L. Been broke ever since and loving every second of it. I now have 5 engines, 3 transmissions, and a mess of other random parts in the garage. This site has been like my Bible for learning curves since I don't have anyone close to help out.

That's a shame. BMWs are much simpler and cheaper than these overcomplicated Subaru's lol (sarcasm intended)
That kid really irritated me. It irratates the shit out of me when people ask the experts a question or for advice and then assume that you are full of it, because it's not the answer they want and then just do the opposet anyways.

haha.... yeah, we did a lot to try and help, but it never went anywhere. I guess drifting was more his thing. I have learned over the years that when you take on a massive project, you have to be in the right place to be able to actually finish it. Either with funding of skills to do it. Hell, everyone thought I was crazy with my first Pulsar. Now I have another one thats just as much, if not more of a project... :P

Yea I feel like projects are all about understanding the magnitude of a project. I didn't know shit about Subarus when I started. But I listened to the people who knew more than me, I knew my limits, and I understood what I was getting into before hand, and I set my goals accordingly (I think my original goal was like 200chp)

Yeah I kinda realized I was going the direction of his build where I was about to take on more than I could handle, so I'm backing off a bit. Granted my build wouldn't be nearly as involved as his.

Dunno if you guys even want an update on him, but he's a nice guy, a lot more mature now though and he's focusing on his videography, sold off his BMW, I think currently he's in Dubai doing some film work for a car care company over there.

But I do agree with you guys, you gotta listen to the people with experience, he even wrote a super negative Yelp review for one of the shops he took that car to. I can try to find that review again if you guys care. I thought one of the shop owner/workers reply was pretty funny.

Fast and cool are not the same. Look at the dodge neon SRT4.
The only cool Buick ever built was the gnx. And the GS stage 2 and that's only cool because it shares a platform with the chevelle.

Zach was an idiot.
He had no idea what he was doing....."I want the swap done right by myself, I will not take anybody's help" Ended up pestering half of Washington for help, took it to a shop, they told him it's not going to be in the budget, so he wrote them a bad review. It took him a long time to sell the project, starting price was 3k hahahaha. Everyone knows you should research and be able to do the swap in your sleep before starting, then estimate costs and time and triple those estimates to get a ballpark of actual cost. He is pretty good at filming and editing though, gotta give him that.

I want a project BD so bad ( i actually had a dream about my 2nd BD last night. i was so disappointed when I woke up and remembered I dont have that car anymore and stupidly traded it in)

I want something mechanically good but needs body work and MUST be 5spd!

I honestly think it is. Very knowledgeable people who don't mind sharing their info with everyone as long as they're not asking to be spoon fed; and everyone jokes around. Even though I don't post much, I've been gathering info and following everyone's progress since 08; I have yet to run into another forum that I actually want to keep checking everyday for 7 years. You and a few other people have pushed the envelope pretty far to turn a bunch of slow boring family sedans and lesbo wagons into STi-killers, showing off that it's not just a Legacy.

Elisider has a 3rd gen. Zues got banned. 99gt is working at a shipyard. Girodisk sold his car to TopScoobLEGO, who is continuing the build. Garrison is still around afaik
