Hey everybody, im really interested in the Rota G-Force wheel. Im on H&R springs and am wondering about clearance issues. The wheel is in 17X8 with an offset of +48 and i think a 225/45 is the size i would want. I do plan on rolling my fenders. Will this combo clear the strut also?

8" wide is pushing it. I dont know if anyone has gotten those to fit. I thought 7.5" was the widest?

That is with fender rolling also? If 7.5 is the widest, thats the widest. Just checking.

I have my fenders rolled and am lowered and i have 18x7.5 and I rub my fenders still under hard cornering or when I have a full car load

They'll fit. I'm running 18x8 w/ 225/40's. I'm also on H&Rs with zero rubbing issues.

That's for the BD/BG's.... BE/BH's have a little more fender room.

Those wheels look really good on your car Mitch!

Very nice Mitch!

Sybir fit 17x8s in the front fenders with stiff springs ok, but he had to roll the rears regardless.

Hey I put ? after saying that stuff cuz I wasnt sure. Sorry for the bad info. Its in the head so I know the answer next time

No, it wasn't bad info. Sybir said it only worked in the front because of his suspension keeping it from rubbing.

Sybir has a 2nd gen and Mitch had a 3rd gen, thus the differences you guys are talking about.

Exactly. BEs have more room. FWIW I'm going 245 on my next set of tires.

I've wanted G-Forces so bad since I saw the first set Subydude got in on the owner's bugeye. Rota makes them in 17x7.5 according to their site last time I checked, but no one has them in the states that I've seen yet. I asked if they could be ordered (subydude), and was told there's not enough demand and to just roll my fenders. Unfortunately, I don't have the required tools or extra funds to buy the $300+ tool to do it correctly, or pay the one shop in this area that has the tools to do it. I'm not sure that we could even get a group buy (not that I'd wanna have the same wheel as everyone else).

Arent 01-03 3rd gen?

Yes. Actually 01-04. and 04-07 are 4th gen.

You have 2nd gen. body style.

Mitch, do you have your fenders rolled? I would be putting 225/45's on mine so the diameter would be similar to your 40's and 18's wouldnt it? A little smaller actually, which is better.

Also, to clarify, it's not tha 17x8 part that makes it close on my car, it's the 17x8 combined with a 235. 17x8 with a narrow 225 would fit with jsut a bit of rolling in the rear, no problem; it's like my 18x8's with narrow 225 Falkens. They pull in so much I don't know how I'd ever rub.

Wow, your car looks nice with gold rims, man. I think I'm sold on the gold rims. I'm a little confused as always. Would I have to roll my fender if I bought the 17 inch GForce and had 225/45/17 tires such as these you suggested earlier, sybir: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... es&place=5 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=ECSTA+ASX&partnum=245WR7EASX&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=5)
