If i'm at a stop and mash on the gas the car bogs and wants to die. It's not a 1st gen so it's not a rally machine  but it shouldn't do that, any thoughts people?

Fuel pump ground perhaps. Failing MAF maybe? Any CEL's or repeated offenses?

damn straight!
That's a toughie. Soooo many possible causes. First make sure all your maintenance is happy plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc. Check that you don't have a vac leak and that your knock sensor is not cracked. See if unplugging the maf does anything. Try to determine what circumstances do it. Try throwing some seafoam in a vac line. good luck.

I do get a CEL when my engine gets wet, It's the knock sensor.

All of my maintenance is on point, the plugs might need to be changed, my car runs rich. A vac leak was something I was thinking about.

Knock sensor won't cause that kind of engine screw up. Vacuum leak will. Plugs and wires are a good idea though.

I checked for vacuum leaks everything looks ok. Guess next are plugs and knock sensor. If it's a big problem it will have to wait.
