Engine and tranny swap on 98 Outback

Hey guys I was wondering what WRX engine would be the easiest o swap into my 98 outback. Also if anyone knows any good sites to buy them from as well as transmissions. My automatic has got to go!!!

I personally would do a 1.0L 3cyl from an early geo metro. It will leave you so much room in the engine bay, and nothing sounds as bad ass as a 3 cyl motor!
