Hey all! New Subaru owner from Northeast Ohio (USA). I picked up an '04 Legacy GT Wagon a little over a month ago, and so far Ive been able to do lots of routine, "usual used car maintenance" like changing all the belts and various fluids (I LOVE how easy the transmission fluid is to change in this thing!), checking fittings, boots, connections, vacuum hoses, etc, along with some cosmetic stuff inside and out.

The few exterior things that I have done so far include, baking of the headlights to remove the amber corners, installing JDM clear tail lights and JDM front and rear spats (that I painted body color), Plasti-Dipped the front grill and rear emblems, attached crossbars to carry my fishing kayaks, and did some very minor body and paint repair.

The heated leather seats are in the best shape I believe I have ever seen for a daily driver that's over 10 years old... no rips, cracks, or discoloration.
The carpets are in so-so shape, but got covered up with all weather, molded floor liners right away. The stock CD player wasn't working so I replaced that with a modest double DIN unit that I think looks pretty darn good in a "modern stock" kind of way.

Very near future mods will include new KYB's with H&R lowering springs, and replica headers with a glasspack muffler. *I have no delusions about horsepower gains with the n/a 2.5... I just like the way it sounds. ;-) I'm kinda' on the fence about swaybars... still researching them.

I look forward to learning lots about this fun little wagon, I'm loving it so far. :-)

Welcome to SL-i!

That's a really clean looking BH you've got there. I'm jealous of your SportShift, I wish my H6 had that.

Can't wait to see it after you get the lowering springs on it!

And if it's worth anything, I upgraded the rear sway bar on my BH to a whiteline 20mm bar and it noticeably reduced understeer. It's definitely a worthwhile mod imho.

That's what I keep reading... pretty sure that's going to HAVE TO go on the "must do list". Thanks for the input. :-)

That sport shift could be a mod. I have read that it's a drop in replacement for the normal gears. I'm watching a couple on eBay. I hate the labyrinth that the normal one uses. Nice clean car you have.
