Rear Cargo clip 97 legacy wagon

I need help finding this cargo cover clip. I've been to the junk yards regularly but can never find it and most shops can't help.

Heh, that's a common one to break, which is why it's hard to find. I forgot what I fashioned up on my '95. I'll see if I can find any photos.

I'm thinking about going to a u-pull it yard sometime soon, I can look for a BK/BG and see if there are any.

I'm heading to my junkyard sometime this week, and I will also take a look and if I find any I will pull a couple as well. Do you just need one or do you need them for both sides?

Just to update, I finally went to my local junkyard yesterday, and they had a very slim amount of Subaru's there. I checked all 3 that were on the lot, and all 3 already had these removed.

Haha... I have already been doing that when I see the door tweeter speakers on 2nd and 3rd gen cars (identical parts!). My junkyard only charges me $5 for the pair with covers, and can easily sell those for $20-25 on eBay. Would love to put a list together of parts like the cargo cover clip and other smaller parts that are in high demand... we could make a killing on it! :)

The door tweeters are slightly different between the 2nd and 3rd gens. I notice the 2nd gens are made in japan and 3rd are canada. The tweeter cover is a bit different but maybe they are interchangeable (have yet to try)

I wondered why my speakers kept saying "EH" after everything... :laughing6:

I had honestly not seen much of a difference between the two. They attach the same way, and the hookup to the wiring in the door is identical, so as far as I know, either can be used without any issue.

2nd gen on top 3rd gen on the bottom. The 3rd gen is shorter, sounds like it'll fit on the 2nd gen but maybe not the other way around

Damn... I had actually just sold my 96 BK wagon a couple weeks ago for parts (engine went and too expensive for me to fix) and I had actually thought of pulling these off for you, but completely forgot! Hopefully r3v_v3ng3 will be able to get you taken care of!

i just ripped those clips out of my white outback, as well as a bunch of other stuff, didnt know they were in demand lol.
