New here from Michigan.
I am in the metro Detroit area.

I currently have four older Subarus.
98 legacy GT wagon
97 legacy postal wagon(RHD)
97 Impreza outback sport wagon
95 legacy Brighton wagon

I daily the Impreza for now and am searching for a trans for the 95 legacy.
The legacy GT is the donor car for a manual swap on the postal wagon that I will start in the next few days.

I have yet to find anyone who makes solid bushings for the rear subframe/differential.
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction as I would like to replace everything while it is out etc.

I joined to help aid in finding deals on parts I'll need for the swap new and used. Plus it is always nice to look over others swaps before diving in.

Thank you
-Scott

No pics of the fleet?!?! Can't believe you haven't stumbled this way before now with such a line-up. Oh, and Welcome!

Here are a few.
None of the cars are in good shape but hopefully the postal wagon will be eventually. I just want a cheap decent daily as we are buying a house this summer so I had to sell all the toys.

So far I have for the swap.
Group N engine and trans mounts.
Torque Solutions pitch mount.
Gates timing belt kit with water pump.
NGK plugs and wires.
Ball joints, inner and outer tie rods from auto zone.
Spectra oil pan.
Subaru metal engine oil separator.

I am sure I am forgetting a ton.

I would also like to reseal everything while it is out and apart
The leak down test was perfect so I will not have to pull the heads.

The postal wagons are a sweet platform to start out with. Ripe for a GTB swap with a bulletproof 2.2 to hold you through the expenses =P (not to tempt you with superb ideas). Looks pretty clean in the pics too, nice snag.

I scooped up the postal for $800 with a blown auto trans then the Gt for $250 so hopefully I'll have around $2K into it as a daily.

The GT came with a 251 short block with 25d heads and sti head gaskets that I have no idea what I am going to use it for yet.

Twin turbo swap is for sure in the future.
350whp should be tolerable for a daily.

TT swap will be on hold until I pick up a new FC roller for another drift build.
Lq4/t56 with a cam springs etc.

I just need to finish up the trans and torque converter rebuild on the summit to start the swap.
