The only issue... half the cars on that list aren't "small" ;)

The Marauder is sloooowwwww. They were bragging about its 7.6 0-60 time, but an Accord V6 can do 7.0 0-60 :lol:

I'd rather have a 300C SRT8. I'm neither a V8 guy, nor a domestic guy, but that car looks mean as hell and has 425hp to back up its looks.

maybe its because most people who own subaru's live in places with snow or places where its rural, not in huge cities where crime is a little higher.

This list is completely skewed, it ranks on the percentage of cars stolen per how many cars just like it are registered. Thus cars like the mercury maraduar and the suzuki POS that sell a combined total of 25 units can easily soar to the top of the list. So dont worry our cars aren't unattractive to theifs, they are just too popular. :lol:

with so many integra's i'd wish they'd include the trim, but with the increase of interest in the ls block and it's insane reliability, i guess they're becoming almost equal (w/C1's that is).

For once this looks like a reasonable auto-theft study, where they are actually taking the # of cars stolen / # of cars registered. Just about every study I've seen so far has been # of cars stolen / # of cars sold this year, which is totally stupid because some cars are not sold anymore and some sell better/worse now than they used to be and some are driven around for a long time while others fall apart in 5 years.

Anyway.

the Integra doesn't surprise me because I'm sure the percentage is driven up by the Type R. I've heard at least a couple stories now of people's Type Rs getting stolen and by the time the police recover it 48 hours from the theft all the police can find is the frame! Everything else has been dismantled and parted out.

+1. a lot of people just think "oh wow, 20 more hp, what's so great about that?" but the type R is way more than just that. they're animals.

My buddy totaled his Integra and we sold most of it on eBay in about 2 weeks. Parts go quick in Hondas and Acuras.
