I went up to Canada this past week with visiting family and discovered something called "poutine", which I had never heard of. It's sheer genius, and I have NO idea why it isn't in the US... Any comments?

That's gravy covered fries right? There's a food truck out here that serves it.

Hahaha, Love it when people find out about it. Canada has always been known for maple syrup and beavers, well add it to the list. Lol.

Basically fries, gravy and cheese curds is the classic poutine but you can get all sorts of different poutine's. Lol

Poutine is great, so is mayonnaise on fries, both of which I discovered in Canada.

Of course, both are horribly bad for you, but most delicious things are.

Ahh, cold weather comfort foods.

Interesting! My girl showed my Ketchup chips when we were there. Odd for sure.

We have some similar "bar foods" in Wisconsin, but I'd definitely never heard that name for it. Nice.

I finally got the pictures off of my wife's phone. Here's what we had:
Left is a bacon cheeseburger poutine (hamburger, bacon, and melted cheese), and the right is a triple pork (pulled pork, bacon, and sausage). And even though it's not a small amount, there is a larger size available!

Again I ask... why is this not more common in the US?
