What's your dream Subaru

I'm curious to know what people think. Money and rarity notwithstanding (imagine you can get anything), what is your dream Subaru? It can be one that is specifically modded, or a rare factory model, or even just your own. Let me know what your drean Subaru is and why.

For me, it'd simply be a turbo Baja with the suspension of the Legacy. It has the styling of the 3rd gen (my favorite), decent power (EJ255), rides/handles like a Legacy (comfortable), and has utility but doesn't look like a wagon (sorry wagon-lovers, it's just not my cup of tea).

One that is already made. A post face lift Legacy 3.0R Spec B wagon with the 6 speed manual. SOA wins on bring that here.... Or maybe a S402 sedan. I would also like a 2nd gen wagon with an EE20 (2.0 turbo diesel) swap.

I'd probably go with a s401 simply because they're so rare and because they have the twin sequential turbocharged 2.0L EJ208 with a solid 6-speed transmission. But I'd also want to import a s402 because they have the twin sequential turbocharged 2.5L engine. So probably the s402 is the better choice in my mind, but having either would be amazing. But since both are rare and hard to find I would like to get a Titanium Pearl Spec.b with the Red leather interior and get GrimmSpeed up pipe, down pipe, cross pipe, and exhaust manifolds, Perrin TMIC, COBB SF Intake, Nameless Axelback Exhaust with 4" mufflers, 2011-2014 OEM WRX wheels, Rally Armour mud flaps, Hella Spertones, SPT Lower Chassis brace, coilovers (not slammed but lowered just enough to make it look mad) and probably a VF34 Turbo.

This is actually kinda hard...

I truly do love the S401 for what it is and having seen, ridden, and driven one, I do love that car. However, there are a few others.

I love the bright red A~C Type Blitzen with the crazy bumpers and wing. I dunno, just looks good. I would take a TT or an H6 (if they had the H6 that year).

A JDM 97 BD5 RS... Though my BD9 is getting really close to the same spec... sooooo..... haha

The 1999 WRC rally Impreza that Richard Burns drove. The whole reason I fell in love with Subaru.

Realistically though, an 05-06 Limited Baja 5 speed. Either with a turbo or with an H6. I've been playing with that in my head for a while now, but I think an H6 would be interesting in a Baja. I also want it lifted a bit with customer front and rear bumpers (winch capable), rock sliders, and in Black. D-type headlights and hood. :)

Any Subaru - I'd go with the Impreza 22b. It's a total icon & I just love the overly flared fenders and beautiful, gold BBS wheels.

Any Legacy - I'm a sucker for a BG5 GT-B Limited in cashmere yellow.

Which H6? EG33, EZ30, EZ36? Whichever you choose, I think this idea is the most unique...

Whichever H6 is the most reliable, I don't have any knowledge of the H6's and very limited on the 2003 2.5L XS Forester that I used to own.
I love the space of the CRV, wide opening rear doors to allow access for putting kids in & out of their car seats, rear seat leg room even with front fully to the rear, cargo area and the various means of dropping the back seats. Paddle shift or conventional AT shift availability is a plus too.
I do miss the rear vision in Forester though, especially when reversing, the CRV has a reversing camera but I don't place too much faith in it.

For power & reliability, I'd go with the EZ36. Subaru had their headgasket issues sorted and ours is spotless with over 100k. I've seen very few complaints with the EZ36 on the Tribeca forums - it doesn't sound like there's any notably common issues with them. The 05+ EZ30s were pretty darn stout, too, though. Still, the EZ36 makes more power on 87 octane and has a nicer torque curve.

If I had another dream Subaru, it'd probably be a 03-05 Forester with a mild lift, the EZ36, and a full STi drivetrain (so limited slip front & rear, with DCCD). It'd be an off roading vehicle.

For a more practical work/daily rig...Subaru Baja with the EE20 Diesel swap, somehow adapt the dual range transmission to it and add a little lift to it. I am sure there is more I would do to it, but thats what I would start at lol.

Or I would love to get a 3rd gen Blitzen Wagon. I just love how those look. I dont think I would do much to it honestly, I would be more than happy to just have one lol.

As for the Blitzen, if you had one, you'd want to tune out the VoD (lag between turbos). Keep in mind that Blitzens are just the regular Legacy with a body kit so the same issues the regular Legacy has will be present on the Blitzen as well.

Ive had a few 3rd gens and I have so far been pretty happy with them. The ones I have had have all been very reliable and only minor issues. So I would be ok with owning another one.

As far as any tuning on the motors, the twin turbo is still new to me, only reason I said leave it stock. Otherwise I would probably break something lol.
